Lusinova’s process intelligence case studies demonstrate how we deliver real-world results across every commercial sector.
Our process mining platform and methodology delivers quantifiable gains, measured in financial savings, time savings and efficiency improvements.

Outcomes
Uncovering new efficiencies for government.
Customer
A government agency with more than 11,000 employees.
Challenge
Complex procurement approval procedures, resulting in missed deadlines and financial inefficiency. Process KPI and established control procedures had not been able to identify critical deviations in the process.
Analysis
Lusinova helped identify imbalances in departmental workloads. Hidden cycles of approval of purchase orders were found. Sub-optimal approval scenarios for a number of procedures were identified.
Outcomes
Approval routines streamlined. Workload balanced according to type of procurement procedure. Responsibilities within the approval process were reassigned.

Outcomes
Streamlining lending for a large financial institution.
Customer
Large banking institution with an extensive branch network.
Challenge
Complex and time-consuming process for reviewing applications for corporate loans, leading to customers taking their borrowing business elsewhere.
Analysis
Lusinova identified inefficiencies associated with duplicated reviews of documents and repeated comments from relevant process entities. We also uncovered differences in the structure of the process across different regions and operating offices, which were leading to process delays.
Outcomes
The process was standardised according to a number of criteria, allowing reductions in the number of documents requested from clients with consequent reductions in collection and consideration times in half of the cases. We also adjusted the work scenarios in the bank's information systems to hold back wasteful processing of incomplete document packages.

Outcomes
Speeding up a procurement contract approval process for a manufacturer.
Customer
Machinery manufacturing enterprise covering end-to-end production cycle, from R&D to service.
Challenge
Long contract negotiating lead times often resulting in missed deliveries of critical raw materials. Yet, audits of the QMS and electronic document management system records did not reveal any serious violations.
Analysis
Lusinova identified a process function that increased the average duration of the procurement contract approval process by 50%. Frequency analysis revealed common roadblocks in the approvals function, which caused up to 3 unnecessary repetitive actions. Losses of up to 30% of the total process time were identified.
Outcomes
We recommended several measures to reduce the number of errors leading to re-approvals. Waiting time between process steps was reduced. The procedure of working with comments was optimised.

Outcomes
Transforming a world-leading manufacturer’s O2C processes — quickly.
Customer
World leader in the production of birch plywood: 7500+ employees, serving clients in 80+ countries.
Challenge
Helping a thriving global business transition to the business process management concept. Traditional process audits had proved time-consuming and inaccurate. Our task was to select and test a solution for building a digital twin of a real business process and to assess the maturity of the process in accordance with ISO 15504.
Analysis
We carried out a comparative analysis of process mining solutions, and built and analysed a digital twin of the business process. We highlighted costly process violations and demonstrated the necessity of changing the approach to historical data collection of process events.
Outcomes
Compared with traditional analyses methods, we reduced the time for obtaining value by more than tenfold. The pilot audit was implemented in 2 weeks. Lusinova”s functionality for process discovery and conformance checking was clearly demonstrated.

Outcomes
Improving process performance for a major construction materials retail chain.
Customer
Large construction materials retailer with more than 20 hypermarkets, own production sites and a developed ecosystem of digital consumer services.
Challenge
Working with the Institute of Management, innovations and business analysis, our main objectives were to investigate the bottlenecks of the process, determine their precise nature and develop an action plan to improve the process based on the data obtained.
Analysis
Lusinova extracted a digital twin of the process and did a comparative analysis of the process execution options for different categories of customer and types of delivery. Critical areas of the process have been investigated.
Outcomes
Tools to monitor the process have been configured. The potential for the process improvement has been calculated.
